Dr. Phillip Garrett is a board-certified periodontist with advanced education from UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry, where he completed both his dental degree and specialty training in periodontics. During his time there, he also earned a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences, with a research focus on dental implant surface topology—specifically evaluating nanotube surface modifications and their influence on osteoblast healing and integration. His work has been published in peer-reviewed journals, reflecting a strong commitment to evidence-based care and advancing the field of implant dentistry.

Clinically, Dr. Garrett is passionate about delivering precise, thoughtful treatment while creating a supportive and collaborative environment for both patients and team members. He believes that the best outcomes come from strong communication, a cohesive team, and a shared focus on patient-centered care.

Outside of the office, Dr. Garrett is a family man – married with 4 wonderful children. He enjoys pushing his limits through endurance sports, including triathlons, ultra-distance mountain biking, and adventure racing. Whether training, competing, or exploring the outdoors, he brings the same discipline and dedication to his personal pursuits as he does to his clinical work. Favorite book is Lone Survivor and believes pizza is best made from scratch.
